Blog/Newsfeed Script Now Up!
Yesterday after putting the new site up, I got to work on the script to run the feed for the main page. I got the important parts written up without too much trouble. I had a few little issues, but they mostly stemmed from the fact that that PHP does not always act the same as C++ despite their great similarities.
Right now the script will read in and parse the posts, and output the most recent 10 posts with the correct formatting applied. It also outputs the links you see on the left. This is all I needed it to do before going live with it.
Next step is to write up the parts of the script that will allow you to look back into the archives at older posts. I may add some other little features, but if I start needing anything much more complex I think I'll just start using Drupal.
New Design is Up!
The new site design is up. I'm still working on building up some of the content, but it's good enough to go live. With the new site, I'm hoping to keep some type of newsfeed/blog with info on my current projects. With school out and my summer job not starting yet, there won't be a lot of posts for a while.
